Hello, I'm Dr. George Kukurin and I am licensed to practice chiropractic by the state of Arizona. I am also licensed to practice acupuncture. I have been studying and practicing alternative medicine techniques for over 20 years. I have a keen interest in conditions of the nervous system.  I am a former faculty member of the Post Graduate Neurology Department of Parker College and one of a select few Arizona chiropractic physicians who are also Diplomats of the American Chiropractic Academy of Neurology  I have treated thousands of patients suffering from all types of conditions of the nervous system. I have post-graduate education from the Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic. I have even traveled to Russian to learn laser acupuncture and to Mexico to study nerve regeneration treatments and techniques.
Dr. Kukurin has 25 years of experience with acupcunture.
Because of my years of experience and education in many different systems of alternative medicine, my patients have obtained some notable results. These results have even  been published in   medical journals and journals indexed in the National Library of Medicine, they have been featured on local Fox and ABC newscasts and I have also presented them to other doctors at conferences at Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore. Having all this additional training and education is extremely helpful in evaluating patients and determining those I feel will benefit from a trial of the methods I use and also for determining which patients I feel  would likely benefit from other forms of treatment.   I have written a number of books detailing my  methods including a book on treating nerve problems like neuropathy.

The protocols and methods I developed over the years have helped so many people.  I hope that you'll take a minute to inquire how they might help you.

I also strongly believe that the  health benefits of my methods should be affordable to those folks who really need them.  Luckily most insurance plans are covering at least a portion of the techniques we employ.   That is why I am proud to be a preferred provider with Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, United, Medicare and most other insurance plans. So call our scheduling hotline at 623.547.4727 and leave a message, visit our website for more information www.kcpv.info  or email us with your questions ...

Continued from page one.  Take a look at the woman pictured to the right. She is another patient that had tried other forms of traditional chiropractic care before she came to my office.  Her first picture shows how distorted her core and foundation are even after multiple treatments using ordinary chiropractic care. Is it any wonder she merely obtained temporary relief using methods that failed to correct her abnormal spinal structure? The second photo is after we applied our methods of spinal correction to her poor foundation. With her core foundation restored to normal she has had long lasting pain relief.

But she doesn't just feel better and look better on the outside.  See, poor spinal core structure leads to abnormal wear and tear on the muscles, bones and joints of the spine. We call this accelerated aging or spinal decay. Take a look at the illustration below.  On the left is a healthy joint. Because the joint had good alignment, wear and tear was minimized. The cartilage between the bones (green arrow) is plump and healthy.  Compare this with the the decayed joint.  Notice how the cartilage is worn out and ragged (yellow arrow). Keeping your body in good alignment will help to prevent spinal joint decay. How do you wish to age? You do have a choice.

The smart choice is to find a chiropractic office that practices spinal correction. It is in our opinion the best way to provide long lasting relief of pain while at the same time reducing the wear and tear on the delicate spinal structures allowing you to age gracefully.

How long will it take?  With the innovative techniques of spinal correction that we pioneered, most of our patients can see visible improvement in their core foundation in a very short period of time. Using our specialized treatment techniques the patient pictured above was able to  make the dramatic changes your see in just four visits. In fact, we expect visible improvement in our patients within the first four visits.  So when you decide to become a patient in our office expect to be seen 4 times within the first week. You should also expect to feel better and see visible improvement in your spinal core.

What happens after the 4th visit? After four visits we will be able to categorize you as either a rapid responder or a non-rapid responder. Thankfully most of our patients fall into the rapid responder category.  Rapid responders typically are feeling better and show visible improvement in their spinal structural core after just 4 treatment sessions. That doesn't mean they are completely well after 4 visits, just they notice significant improvement.  It means that they have much less pain and their spine has moved towards normal. Scientific studies have determined the "best dose" of chiropractic care that leads to maximum improvement for patients who are in pain.

Spinal correction

The studies suggest that patients should be treated 12-16 times in the first month of care.  This dose of chiropractic care leads to more patients improving and with greater improvement than from any other schedule of care.

I am happy to say that patients in our office typically respond much better and much faster than the published "best dose". In other words, our methods typically out perform the best dose recommendations published in the medical literature.

We believe our results are better than the published results because 1. we attempt to correct the spine not just relieve symptoms and 2. we utilize other advanced treatment methods along with our spinal correction style of chiropractic, including acupuncture, laser therapy and spinal decompression  to name a few.

So if you are fortunate enough to be classified as a rapid responder (and most of our patient are), we won't need to see you several times a week for 4-6 weeks like the studies recommend. Instead we'll need to see you much less often!  But we will need to see you over time. See, getting you out of pain and changing your core spinal foundation, while usually accomplished fairly quickly with our methods, still requires time to remodel the ligaments, muscles, and joints. To put it is as simply as possible,   once your spine has been corrected back towards normal, to have it retain it's improved structure, it will take some time and additional work. This is because the soft tissues supporting the spine need time to be remodeled and remolded. This doesn't take very many treatments, but it does take time. It is however worth your time, because having a corrected spine reduces wear and tear on your spine and thus spinal decay as seen in the top picture in the left hand column of this page.

What if I'm not a rapid responder? As I have said repeatedly here on my webpage, most of our patients are classified as rapid responders. But of course as hard as we try to fix the foundation of all our patients as rapidly as possible, some patients just simply respond more quickly than others.

I wish I could tell you for sure why some people responded rapidly and other don't, but no one can say for sure.  What I have found and observed in my 20+ years of correcting spines is that the degree of spinal decay or permanent tissue damage in the spine before treatment starts probably is a major determining factor.  See as we have stated already poor spinal structure = a poor core or foundation for the spine, this leads to excessive stress on the muscles, ligaments discs and joint of the spinal column.    This leads to spinal decay. Another way of thinking about spinal decay is that it produced permanent structural tissue damage.  If the spine has substantial permanent structural damage, it is much more difficult to correct it.  In some cases it may not be correctable at all! That is why we believe so strongly in a plan of spinal correction not simply treating the symptoms. Once permanent tissue damage has occurred, complete spinal correction is not possible.

I wish I could tell you for sure why some people respond rapidly and others don't, but no one can say for sure.  What I have found and observed in my 20+ years of correcting spines is that the degree of spinal decay or permanent tissue damage in the spine before treatment begins probably is a major determining factor.  See as we have stated already, poor spinal structure equals  a poor core or foundation for the spine, this leads to excessive stress on the muscles, ligaments, discs and joints of the spinal column.    This leads to spinal decay. Partial spinal correction can usually be obtained even with advanced spinal decay. We can predict quite accurately those patients who will be rapid responders, but we can't do it until the fourth visit. cont >>
