Avoiding Surgery for Spinal Stenosis

Non-surgical spinal stenosis treatment. Guide to spinal decompression therapy

Of course anyone who faces the prospective of spinal surgery would like to find an effective method to avoid back surgery. Even with the advances in modern surgical techniques, surgery and in particular spinal surgery can be risky business. The truth of the matter is, even a good surgeon will tell you, "if you can find a non-surgical approach to relieve your back pain ~ Do it!"

Thankfully new techniques, collectively called spinal decompression therapy, are some of the most promising emerging methods  for long term non-surgical back and leg pain relief.

A word of caution to you if you are considering  spinal decompression therapy  for your back or leg pain. Some doctors have paid upwards of $100,000 for their decompression equipment.  It's only human nature that if you spend $100K on a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail! Make sure you know all of your options before you decide.

The goal of surgical as well as non- surgical back pain treatment is to take pressure off sore and inflamed nerves. Surgical spinal  nerve decompression requires cutting the tissue away from and decompressing the nerves exiting the spine. You can download our free eBook which discusses the various surgical options for spinal decompression. Click here. There are also a number of methods of non-surgical spinal nerve decompression . All of these non-surgical methods work by elongating the spine.  When you elongate the spine you can move tissues (that are compressing the spinal nerves) away from these sensitive pain producing structures.  So of course you want to avoid resorting to surgery to relieve the pressure on these spinal nerves, but what is the best non- surgical approach?

The very first choice is to start with an exercise program designed to specifically decompress spinal nerves. We have an eBook which explains the best exercises for spinal decompression. You can download it for free and keep it. You'll need these valuable exercises no matter which method of decompression you choose: be it surgical or non-surgical spinal decompression.   To learn more about how we help our patients avoid stenosis surgery keep reading by clicking here.>>>>>
